[Ikuto is normally a pretty laidback person, but today you can see some sort of formality in the way he stands. Though he's still not the most official guy there is, really. He's currently standing in one of the training rooms at the Goldenrod base.]

I guess I should introduce myself now that I have a new mission. [He's still not sure how he even got the mission with the failure of a mission making his record look back, but he's not complaining.] I'm Ikuto Tsukiyomi, a Grunt, and I will be training some those who are new to the team. I have been a member since January, so I'll most likely be able to answer any questions you may have.

What would you do if your dreams and hopes would be crushed in an instant? Would you become an empty shell or would you continue struggling and try to live an interesting life?

Giving up isn't an option.
Despite how devastating that may be, it just isn't.

Why? Wouldn't it be easier to just go with flow and forget you ever tried?

Perhaps, but there are people who care and depend on you.
By giving up, you let them down.

Besides...
By continuing to live, you allow yourself to obtain new hopes and dreams.
Life isn't about one and only one goal. Otherwise it would be pointless and over once you obtain it.

So basically you're saying that even if you'd lose one dream, you should continue the way you are to find another. If not for the sake of yourself, then for the sake of others.

Perhaps some people give up because they fear or expect to fall again.

Yes...exactly.
And perhaps. It would be an understandable reaction.
But eventually you just have to get back up and keep going.

I'm sure there are people who are able to get up and go on, but I think most people are the type to give up after struggling uselessly for a while. Then again, it's not like their lives end in just losing their dreams.

I think you'd be surprised.
People are amazing when they need to be.
And a situation like that is certainly something that requires being amazing.

It could also be that I haven't met too many people that amazing.

Well then I think you came to the right place.
There are many amazing people here.

I've been here for a while, but I guess I haven't been looking around enough.

Or maybe you aren't actually paying enough attention.
